The Swedish Lie

The Swedish Lie

“It is obviously a demonstration of power.”

A hard-hitting editorial about this past week’s events in Sweden has been published in today’s edition of the Danish daily Jyllands-Posten .

Many thanks to our Danish correspondent TB for the translation:

The Swedish Lie

It would be an overstatement to assert that Stockholm is on fire. It has not gone that far yet. But in the city’s highly immigrant-affected surrounding suburbs such as Husby, Rinkeby, Fittja, Kista, Södertälje and even Oluf Palme’s favorite enclave Vällingby, we have now seen cars and schools being set on fire for five successive days while the summoned firefighters and police officers have been attacked with stones hundreds of times.

The perpetrators neutrally labeled as “youngsters” by the established Swedish media are immigrant boys with a Muslin background. Some of them are teenagers who, instead of lying in their beds resting up to be fresh for tomorrow, take to the streets to direct their aggression against other people’s property and the public order.

It is obviously a demonstration of power. The Middle Eastern culture of violence amongst young men has arrived in the most well-meaning part of Scandinavia, where the old media as well as leading politicians are watching in disbelief. What is happening is impossible. But it happens again and again. Even when the media do not report on it.

According to the dominant self-perception of the political, cultural and industrial Swedish elites, Sweden is a tolerant, multicultural and humane society which for years has been pointing fingers at Denmark. Denmark was — and still is — the big negative projection. When Islamism, immigrant gangs and so on exist in Denmark, it is because of the ‘tone’ in public debate and the underlying racism among Danes.

What we are experiencing these days is that Sweden is still part of Europe, and an integrated part of the demographic, political and social development characterizing the continent proportionally as still more immigrants from especially Muslin countries settle in Western welfare states. The common denominator is conflicts, clashes, crimes, social fraud, so-called ‘honor killings’, massive abuse of women and rape waves. All this is combined with a growing pressure on public finance and the welfare system, since the immigration from non-Western countries costs billions.

In other words; Sweden is no exception. The ruthless macho culture, of which these bandits and perpetrators are a product, knows no boundaries and does not worry about whether they speak Danish or Swedish next door. It manifests itself if it does not meet any significant resistance. Seen in this light, Sweden is a paradise for masked assailants who, under the cover of darkness and orchestrated by the media’s accusations about ‘police violence’, can force their agenda through. House after house, month after month, gang after gang they show who is in charge, while the Swedes are sleeping.

As the ethnologist Karl-Olov Arnsberg and the journalist Gunnar Sandelin have described in the gloomy but important bookImmigration and Cover up — A factual report from an insane time (2013) which has hardly been mentioned nor reviewed in any Swedish mainstream media, there is nothing new in the Swedish lie. It has been going on for decades. The thing is, however, that things are sounding more and more desperate. One can almost see it in the eyes of the nominally right-wing prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt when he stands there on TV promising to send more money to the vulnerable areas. The millions will not be enough. Because it is not money that will make the difference. This is about a mindset and norms. The problem is not material, but cultural. It is based in a profound difference between the mentality that created the rich and well-functioning Sweden and the foreign mentality as shown by the immigrant youths. It is about time to realize that truth.
